Following a 6-0 win last week over Deeping United, Stanground Cardea travelled to the Haydon Witham Stadium to play Deeping Rangers Reserves.
Stanground Cardea, wearing their orange away kit for the first time, made a bright start taking the lead inside 2 minutes.
Mark Rayment played the ball forward to Kieran Hibbins who played a cross field ball perfectly into the path of Ryley Nicholson-Barfoot, who beat his man and finished well into the corner of the net.
After the goal Deeping had more of the ball but struggled to break down the strong Stanground Cardea defence, with the away team looking dangerous on the break.
With ten minutes to go until half time Kyle Hibbins dribbled into the box and went passed his man who fouled him and a penalty was awarded. Kieran Hibbins took the responsibility and calmly converted the penalty to double the lead.

Up the other end Deeping Rangers were close to pulling a goal back with a great long range effort which went just wide.
The points were made safe with 8 minutes to play thanks to a moment of magic. A Joe Kelly ball forward was plucked out the air by Ryley Nicholson-Barfoot who touched the ball past the Deeping defenders and drilled the ball past the keeper.
As the game entered the 90th minute Deeping Rangers scored a consolation goal thanks to a great touch from the striker which left him one on one with the keeper and he finished well.
